Use CaseCategoryDescription & ExamplePrompt TemplateTips & Comments
Universal Infographic Blueprint for AI Image ModelsAI MasteryTurn any content source into a clear, structured infographic by defining all key parameters in one go (purpose, data, layout, style and more) for AI models like Nano Banana Pro, OpenAI’s latest ChatGPT Image etc. For instance, you can transform a dense strategy deck into a 16:9 leadership dashboard.“Create an infographic with a clear structure, accurate data, readable text, enough breathing space and no clutter. Use these inputs: Topic, purpose & audience: [what it is about, who/where it is for, e.g. slide, LinkedIn]. Data & sources: [content and links/files/notes; mark which numbers are exact or illustrative]. Infographic framework or type: [timeline, roadmap, funnel, flowchart, matrix, dashboard, treemap, mind map, comparison or let the model choose]. Narrative flow & sections: [story path such as Situation → Complication → Question → Resolution, Past → Present → Future, plus main sections]. Layout & aspect ratio: [aspect ratio such as 16:9, 9:16; resolution such as 4K or 1080p]. Text style & density: [shorter/longer explanations; tone such as neutral, friendly, educational; amount of jargon]. Visual style, colour & feel: [e.g. corporate, dark neon HUD, minimalist, isometric; brand palette or hex codes]. Key elements & constraints: [must haves like specific phrases, visual cues such as call out boxes or logos; constraints such as no faces and no photo realism]. References & inspiration: [optional sketches, example infographics, dashboards or style guidelines].”No need to fill every block; but be precise where you care and leave room for the AI to suggest options when you are still exploring. Iterating works well: refine the prompt after each version and use spot edits to fix specific parts or text. Note: polished AI infographics can still contain errors, so always double check important data.
Storytelling Coach for Everyday ConversationsPersonal GrowthMake ChatGPT your personal interactive sparring partner to practice effective storytelling. It helps you find relevant memories and then guides you with feedback based on storytelling best practices to craft a compelling narrative. For example, turn a bad hotel experience into a vivid story that captivates colleagues or friends over dinner.“Act as my storytelling coach. If I already have a memory or story, I’ll share it. If not, help me recall one by asking prompts like ‘What’s the first/worst/best/last thing you remember about (insert relevant trigger, e.g., a hotel visit)?’ After I pick a story, ask me to draft a short version (only 1-2 minutes long or max. a one pager). Then guide me step-by-step to improve my storytelling using the ‘CARS’ framework (Context, Adversity, Resolution, So-What): I should describe the location, time, and what I was doing; highlight the challenge with stakes and feelings; show how the resolution unfolded with actions and reactions; and end with a meaningful, subtle takeaway. Prompt me to use the present tense where possible and add sensory details like what I heard, felt, thought, or saw, too. Suggest ways to refine the draft using storytelling techniques such as sparking curiosity, surprise, showing change, including dialogue, and using clear, concise, and captivating language, as well as rhetorical best practices (ethos, pathos, logos). Keep your feedback relatively concise and don’t overload the user with all tips at once. Don’t suggest how you would write the story (unless I explicitly ask you to do so) but guide me to improve my drafted story with your feedback iteratively until it feels natural and overall good enough based on the mentioned criteria/tips. Wrap up when I’m satisfied with the result and end the practice session with a relevant takeaway or reflection question for me.”Practice makes progress. Also, ChatGPT’s voice mode is great for a more “realistic” experience.
Explore Challenges from Diverse Perspectives with 6 Thinking HatsLearningUse Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats technique for structured thinking, exploring problems/situations from multiple perspectives – facts, emotions, risks, benefits, creativity and structure. For instance, use this prompt to evaluate new business ideas or workplace challenges.“Adopt the role of a moderator skilled in Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats framework to guide an analysis of [specific topic/scenario]. Begin with the White Hat to present objective facts and data about the scenario. Then move through the remaining hats: Red (explore emotions and subjective reactions), Black (identify risks and weaknesses), Yellow (highlight benefits and opportunities), Green (generate creative ideas and solutions), and Blue (organize findings into actionable steps). For each hat, provide insights, ask tailored questions and build on the discussion to provide deeper insights into the challenge. Conclude with a concise summary of key takeaways enriched by all six hats and suggest follow-up questions if needed.”– Inspired by Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, this prompt adapts the method for AI-guided exploration.
– As always, review AI-generated outputs carefully to ensure they are accurate and relevant to your context.
Life Reflections From Someone Nearing the EndPersonal GrowthChatGPT can help you think about life’s most important moments from a deathbed perspective, offering deep wisdom on universal themes like love and health. You can use this prompt to gain new perspectives, e.g., when you’re feeling stuck in life.“Adopt the role and voice of someone nearing the end of their life, reflecting on your key lessons and defining moments. Please provide thoughtful, anecdotal insights on [universal themes and/or focus on specific topic/question/challenge you currently face]. Use a reflective tone that feels [authentic and heartfelt]. Avoid truisms or pseudo-science. Personalize the practical wisdom you share based on everything you know about me so I can do better.”– Note: AI reflections are fictional and are only for entertainment – also be mindful of privacy settings
– The output gets even more personal with ChatGPT’s “memory” feature enabled. Alternatively, you could – optionally – add to the prompt “Use the following context: [describe your lifestyle, aspirations, values, challenges etc.]”
– Try specific questions for less generic insights
Create ‘A Day in the Life’ StoriesFun & CreativityCurious what your life would be like in a particular job, uni program, as a historical figure or other role? Use this prompt to explore various “A day in the life” scenarios. You could even check out your “future self” – for pure entertainment.“You are an expert storyteller. Write a detailed and engaging ‘A Day in the Life’ narrative for [specific job, role or perspective, e.g., Cleopatra, a data scientist, MBA student, my future self in X years etc.]. Include vivid descriptions of their environment, emotions, daily routines and unique experiences. Make the story [realistic, aspirational or historical etc.], ensuring the narrative flows naturally and highlights distinctive details that capture the essence of their life. Use a [flowery, prosaic, relatable etc.] writing style and format the output as [running text, bullet points etc.]. At the end, ask me which aspects I’d like to explore deeper.”– AI-generated outputs are not always reliable; be mindful of privacy and review critically. Use for inspiration or fun only.
– For the ‘future self’ use case, consider personalizing the prompt with: “Use the following context: [current lifestyle, habits, goals, aspirations, values, challenges, relationships, etc.]”
Learn Prompt Writing with Interactive ExercisesAI MasteryBuild your prompt-writing skills “learning by doing” with this meta-prompt. For each task (“Write a prompt for…”) ChatGPT gives you a quick briefing. Then you write your prompt and get feedback based on prompting best practices. Rinse and repeat until your prompt is good enough.“You’re a prompt-writing coach. Let’s improve my prompting skills playfully. Step 1: Assign me a task to write a prompt for [e.g., a personal, creative, professional task or a random topic]. The task shouldn’t be too specific or too generic and the to-be-created prompt should be a suitable use case for ChatGPT. Only provide the bare minimum of framing (i.e. don’t repeat the rules of this game). Step 2: Evaluate my prompt using these criteria: 1) Context: Does it provide enough relevant background about my request (e.g. purpose/intent, constraints) and specify a role (e.g. ‘act as an expert for…’) for ChatGPT? 2) Task Specificity: Is the task clear, well-structured and free of ambiguity? 3) Output Definition: Does it specify the expected format or style (e.g., tone, length)? 4) Tone: Is the prompt polite, clear and not too wordy? 5) Examples: Does it include relevant examples to guide ChatGPT? 6) Critical Thinking: Does it encourage ChatGPT to use ‘step-by-step reasoning’ or ask clarifying questions? Criteria 5) and 6) are relevant for more complex/specific prompts/challenges. Step 3: Based on these criteria: a) Rate my prompt objectively with a total of X/6 points (i.e. up to one point per criterion) and a preliminary verdict of max. 1-2 concise sentences. Provide one one-liner per criterion (including X/1 points) as concise feedback, noting any missing or unclear parts. Do this in a compact way. b) Add 2-3 ‘Reflection Questions’ as ways to improve. Don’t give refined prompts or spoil the solution unless I ask you to. Step 4: Guide me to refine my prompt iteratively until it scores at least [4.5]/6. As soon as that happens, congratulate me and offer 3 options: a) confirm I’m satisfied or if want to improve it further, b) if I want to try this prompt now and c) if I want to start a new task.”Practice makes progress: Many people struggle to learn effective prompting due to a lack of feedback opportunities. While ChatGPT’s feedback is not flawless, it’s a solid starting point with this prompt. Try it out, but take its feedback with a grain of salt.
Create Brand Ladders and Positioning StatementsBusinessA “brand ladder” connects product features to emotional benefits and values. It’s the basis to craft a succinct positioning statement that resonates more with customers. For example, it can help a new beverage brand link its ingredients to health and lifestyle aspirations for effective market positioning.“You are a brand strategist. My brand, [brand name], targets [target customer segment/s described with demographic or psychographic traits, e.g., busy urban parents]. The product features include [key features, e.g., all-natural ingredients, functional packaging]. These features deliver [functional benefits, e.g., on-the-go hydration and nutritional value], which lead to [emotional benefits, e.g., feeling energized and confident]. Based on this brand ladder, then craft a positioning statement using this template: ‘For (target customers), (brand name) is the (product category/competitive frame) that [point of difference/most important benefit, ideally emotional], because [core reason(s) to believe rooted in the key features].”Mind that you only need to add inputs for [these] brackets and can leave (these) as they are. Focus on aligning all steps of the brand ladder for a cohesive positioning statement. You could even try this framework for your personal brand/life.
Create Executive Summaries (e.g. of Business Plans)BusinessCraft a concise executive summary (e.g. of your business plan or board paper), highlighting your business’s compelling idea, team expertise and financial projections. A persuasive narrative is key to win over investors or stakeholders.“You are a business planning expert. My company, [business name], provides [specific products or services] to [target audience]. We address [specific problem or market gap], offering [describe your unique solution or approach]. Our team brings [briefly describe key team members’ skills or expertise]. Financially, we project [summarize cash flow or growth forecasts, e.g., profitability in year two…]. Please create a concise executive summary that highlights our value proposition, team strengths, and financial outlook. Essentially, turn the [attached business plan, board paper etc.] into a succinct onepager synthesizing the most important info and data from each chapter. Write in a [desired tone, e.g., professional and compelling] style.”Note: AI outputs should be reviewed critically to ensure they reflect your business’s reality. Also, don’t underestimate the importance of a good executive summary. It’s often the first (and only) chapter managers/investors read.
Streamline Bloated Cooking RecipesEveryday HelpTired of repetitive scrolling in online recipes? Streamline cluttered recipes into a clean, simple structure for faster, stress-free cooking. Ideal to create a neat digital collection of your favorite recipes.“You are a recipe organizer. Please reformat the following recipe into the structure below: (Recipe Name) Ingredients: – (Quantity and ingredient, e.g., 2 cups of flour) – (List remaining ingredients with quantities) Instructions: Step 1: (First step, with ingredient amounts mentioned as needed, e.g., Mix 2 cups of flour with…) Step 2: (Next step…) Step 3: (Continue until the recipe is complete.) Use clear language and ensure ingredient amounts are integrated into the steps to make them easy to follow and don’t change anything about the ingredients or amounts compared to the original version. If something is unclear, stop the task and flag the issue clearly. This is the original recipe which I want you to apply this task to: [enter/attach original recipe/URL etc.]”Review AI outputs to ensure all ingredients, amounts and steps are accurate. Double-check for risks if dietary restrictions or allergies apply. Mind that you only need to add inputs [here] and leave (theses) brackets as they are. Rather suited for simple recipes.
Let ChatGPT Ask for Needed Prompt InputsAI MasteryUse this “meta-prompt” to improve ChatGPT’s results by nudging it to ask clarifying questions when needed while still remaining able to work with incomplete inputs. This approach ensures progress without losing relevance, even when perfect info (normally) isn’t available.“[…] Whenever my input isn’t enough for you to perform a task effectively, ask clarifying questions to refine your response. However, when there’s enough context for meaningful progress, adopt an ’80:20′ approach – prioritizing actionable results over perfection. If you ask clarification questions, do it in a bundled bucket. […]”Works best if added to ‘custom instructions’ for consistent effect. b>Disclaimer: AI output is not always reliable – always review critically.
Problem-Solving / Innovation PathfinderBusinessGenerate creative ways to move from your current situation (“as-is state”) to a better outcome (“target state”). Whether you already have a goal in mind or just want to explore possibilities, ChatGPT maps distinct paths forward, pinpoints opportunities for innovation and flags potential roadblocks.“You are an innovation strategist helping me identify solutions for [specific situation or challenge, e.g., ‘creating blog articles takes too long’]. My current situation (“as-is state”) is: [describe it in detail, e.g., ‘I write articles manually, in my free time and it takes 10 hours per article over several days/weeks’]. [Optional: I already have a clear goal (“target state”), e.g., ‘write articles of comparable quality in just 2 hours’]. If no clear goal is defined, let’s allow one to emerge naturally during exploration. If this info isn’t enough, ask clarifying questions about my situation and priorities to better tailor your suggestions. Explore 3–5 possible innovation routes, describing the key steps (Innovation 1, Innovation 2, …) for each. Highlight opportunities to accelerate progress and potential roadblocks to address. After mapping these routes from “as-is” to “target state,” offer to refine the most promising one with a detailed plan.”This works for both defined goals and open-ended exploration – start by describing your current situation. Also, see disclaimer below and only use this prompt for inspiration.
Craft Persuasive Messages (e.g., Mails)Work & CareerChatGPT helps create persuasive messages for emails, pitches or presentations. Use it to pitch an idea, motivate a team or invite collaboration in a way that resonates and drives action.“You are an expert in persuasive communication. I need help crafting a persuasive [type of message, e.g., email, pitch, presentation] for [addressee]. My goal is [desired action or request, e.g., scheduling a meeting]. The style/tone should be [e.g., formal, conversational, concise, non-“salesy” etc.]. Here’s some context: [occasion, audience’s interests, what I “bring to the table” or a draft]. If this isn’t enough, ask clarifying questions (e.g., about the recipient’s interests or my “arguments”). Use the AIDA framework: start with a compelling opener introducing my core request, build interest with relevant details, address the recipient’s interests and close with a clear CTA. Prioritize ethical communication.”Disclaimer: This is for inspiration only – always adapt AI’s output to your specific situation. I also strongly discourage “tweaking” / using this for manipulative or unethical purposes.
Gracefully Say No to Invites / RequestsPersonal GrowthSaying no is tough. This prompt helps you diplomatically decline unasked-for (meeting) invitations, requests or offers while maintaining positive relationships. It protects your boundaries, offers thoughtful alternatives and ensures the other person feels respected. You are an expert in diplomatic communication. I need help declining a [request, invitation, offer etc.]: [copypaste/attach the request]. Start by asking clarifying questions about my intention (e.g., “redirect to a future opportunity”, “firmly close the door” etc.), relevant context and preferred tone (e.g., formal or casual). Once clear, draft a response that explains my reason for saying no in a way that aligns with my commitments and priorities. Where appropriate, suggest thoughtful alternatives or compromises, such as recommending someone else, pointing to resources or proposing a smaller commitment. Ensure the tone is positive and respectful to maintain goodwill. If alternatives aren’t feasible, ensure your no is clear and polite to avoid ambiguity. Also, see disclaimer below: this prompt is for inspiration and self-reflection only – use your judgment for sensitive situations.
Qualitative Interview AnalysisWork & CareerAnalyze interview (transcripts) by summarizing key ideas, identifying recurring themes and relating them to your overall research question. For example, use it to uncover patterns in customer feedback to support your product development.“You are a qualitative research assistant specialized in interviews. I have [an interview transcript / transcripts] focused on [topic]. Start by asking about the main research question and other areas of interest, as well as any context I haven’t sufficiently provided. Then, summarize the transcript(s) to capture their key ideas (traceable to their sources). Then, identify [5–7] recurring codes or phrases that stand out as patterns. Group these into [2–3] broader themes and explain how they relate to my research question/s. Finally, suggest follow-up questions or insights I could explore further to deepen my analysis.”Be mindful of privacy when feeding transcripts into AI systems.
Overcome ProcrastinationProductivityThis prompt uses habit psychology (Duhigg) and motivational theory (Vroom) to help you start tasks and build sustainable habits. It clarifies their value, breaks them into manageable steps and adds rewards for momentum. Perfect for big projects or daily habits like exercising.“I’m struggling to start [task]. Step 1: If the benefit isn’t obvious (like brushing teeth), ask me a few questions to clarify what matters most to me, then connect it to a meaningful benefit. Step 2: Break the task into a couple of small, but still meaningful steps so I can focus on what’s manageable and achievable right now. Step 3: Suggest a simple way to make the task more enjoyable or rewarding as I do it. Step 4: Show how I can make it even easier to start this task by working with “obvious cues”. Step 5: Conclude by asking how this helped: If it didn’t, I should say what’s holding me back to start. Then help me address these blockers using the above method iteratively and patiently. Write concisely.”“How to eat an elephant? One bite at a time!” Use this prompt for self-reflection and inspiration only, not for critical decisions.
Your Personal CoachPersonal GrowthChatGPT becomes your personal, interactive mentor, offering personalized, science-backed advice to help you achieve goals or overcome challenges in any life area, e.g., career, social, personal growth etc.“You are a seasoned life coach with decades of experience helping people achieve their goals in various life areas (e.g., education, social, personal growth, work, etc.). I’m currently seeking guidance on [my challenge]. Start by asking thoughtful questions to understand my situation and priorities. Offer tailored, step-by-step advice based on proven, scientific frameworks and coaching best practices. Avoid ‘truisms’, pseudo-science and being overburdening. Provide practical examples and clear actions I could take, highlighting how these steps would lead to measurable progress. End each interaction with a motivating question or CTA. I’d appreciate a [supportive, direct, etc.] tone.”Important: See the disclaimer below. Use this prompt for inspiration and self-reflection only; don’t base your decisions on it. Also, try it in “voice mode” for a richer experience.
Your Professor in Your PocketLearningMeet your personal tutor, helping you break down and master new, complex topics like economics, machine learning, crypto etc. It adapts to your pace, uses real-world examples and challenges your understanding for deeper learning.“Please help me learn about [subject / topic] by acting as my expert tutor. My current level is [beginner, pro etc.] Explain the [optional: attached materials] in simple, structured steps, adding real-world examples for clarity. Challenge me with interactive questions that deepen my understanding and encourage critical thinking. Adjust your explanations based on my responses and highlight areas where I can improve. Aim to guide me like a Socratic mentor, ensuring I actively engage and grasp the topic fully.”Active engagement is a must (“Socratic”). This exercise is amazing in “voice mode”. e.g., during daily routines; and combined with the other learning prompts, e.g., quizzes.
Turn Flashcards into Gamified QuizzesLearningTransforms your flashcards (or sets of questions/answers) into an interactive quiz with hints, scoring and feedback. Perfect for turning study time into a game to keep the sessions “edutaining” and memorable. “Take these [attached flashcards] and turn them into an interactive quiz for gamified learning. For each question, add hints where helpful, track my progress with a scoring system and provide clear feedback when I get something wrong. Make the quiz engaging by using fun analogies or examples to explain the correct answers in simple and concise terms.”This is even more fun using “voice mode”. 😉
Case Study GeneratorLearningGenerates interactive case studies to explore concepts in real-world or simulated scenarios. For example, it could research a realistic case on “GenAI in marketing”. Each study covers learning objectives, the story, reflection questions and feedback.“Create an interactive case study on [topic]. Start by researching to find a real-world example; if none exists, fabricate one and clearly state it’s fictional. Structure the case study as follows: 1) Introduce the topic with learning objectives, 2) Provide the case’s context and story, 3) Ask reflection questions to prompt analysis and application and 4) Conclude with insights, solutions or feedback based on my responses. Pause after each set of reflection questions to let me respond before continuing.”This is learning framework is famously practiced at US business schools for a good reason. Works well as a follow-up to more research-oriented prompts.
Simulation-based TrainingPersonal GrowthPractice facing challenging situations in safe, simulated scenarios, e.g., difficult conversations at work. Plan your moves and learn from feedback.“Put me in a simulated scenario where I must [solve a problem / develop a skill / tackle a challenge]. First, ask me a few questions about the setting, characters or context. Once decided, craft the scenario and guide me step by step, asking reflective or action-oriented questions to help me address the situation. Pause periodically to provide feedback on my approach and suggest areas for growth.”This puts your learning curve on steroids. Even wilder using “voice mode”. It can get icky..
Find Your Unique TalentsPersonal GrowthChatGPT helps you uncover your strengths by exploring your unique skills / interests / experiences via a set of questions.“You are an expert at helping people find their unique strengths – the combination of skills, interests and experiences where they excel. Ask me 1 question at a time about what I enjoy, what I’m good at and what feels meaningful to me. After up to 15 questions, suggest areas where my unique strengths may lie. Once I choose one, guide me to explore it further.”Don’t take the answers at face value but as inspiration for your own reflection.

Crafting Effective PromptsAI MasteryCreate clear prompts for better responses using this “meta-prompt”. Some call it “the prompt of all prompts” for a reason.“Please help me (“the user”) craft the best prompt for [ChatGPT]. This is how: Provide 2 sections in each of your answers: a) revised prompt (building on my input) with a succinct score (X/10) indicating its current “fit for purpose” with very concise feedback (regarding the prompt engineering criteria below) and b) questions to clarify / refine what the prompt should do. Iterate until I say the prompt is OK. Prompts should follow prompt engineering best practices, i.e., (loosely) structure prompts according to the following criteria and roughly in this order: 1) The user provides enough context details, e.g., the role/persona which ChatGPT should adopt. 2) The user breaks down the task/steps. 3) The user specifies the expected output (regarding formats, style, length etc.). 4) The user can optionally add example/s of an ideal solution as inspiration (“x-shot prompting”). 5) Generally, prompts shall be concise (but not simplistic), clear, specific and polite. Delineate all needed user inputs with “[]”. When the prompt’s quality is good enough (e.g. score >8/10) let the user know. Let’s begin with my initial inputs: [enter your prompt goal / draft].”Work iteratively with this until it fits. Disclaimer: AI output is not always reliable – always review critically.
Extract Data from ImagesProductivityConvert data from screenshots or handwritten notes or scans into digital text, e.g., digitizing whiteboards.“Extract and digitize the [data, list, table, …] from this [attached image, scan, …]. Format the output like this: [desired output format, e.g. table].”Process larger tables in parts for accuracy

Focus on [specific aspects / topics or questions of interest].”Use transcript text (URLs don’t work outside Custom GPTs).
Finding Forgotten WordsEveryday HelpHelps recall words by providing hints on meaning, length or context. E.g. what’s the longest English word?“Guess the word based on these hints: [Hint 1, Hint 2, etc.].”Keep hints simple. No cheating in Scrabble. 😉
Streamline Cluttered ThoughtsProductivityChatGPT refines messy thoughts / notes into concise, understandable messages, e.g., long emails for work.“Organize my thoughts. I’ll ramble about [topic]. Ask for clarifications if vague and then provide a clear [email / summary].”Clarify ChatGPT’s questions and try avoiding unnecessary “tangents”.
